Cindy & Craig Miller

Spending a lonely fall quarter at Ohio University in Athens in the fall of 1985, Cindy (BA ’90) moved back to Parma to attend Cleveland State University in January of 1986.

Her mother, a full-time sales analyst at American Greetings, ensured that Cindy would enroll in classes by enrolling in night classes herself and commuting to them with her from Parma.

Cindy and Craig (BBA ’90, MBA ’91) were introduced by classmates in the University Center “Cage” across from the candy counter the week before they both (albeit separately) planned to leave for Florida on spring break in March that year.

The two exchanged pleasantries and mused whether they would see each other during break. While they didn’t end up crossing paths in Florida, they soon became a couple shortly after returning to classes that spring quarter.

Cindy and Craig got married in Parma in 1994, had three children in five years, and one more child five years later. They still live in the area and Craig was even an adjunct faculty instructor in the then Nance College of Business at CSU from 1996-2004.

Now, Cindy is a registered nurse, and Craig is a certified public accountant and president of his Westlake consulting company.
